Questions
Is the app free?
Yes. Recording your screen and camera and saving videos on your computer is free on Mac and Windows. You only pay to upload to Recap Cloud for share links.
Do viewers need an account or a subscription?
No. Anyone with the link can watch and react for free. Commenting needs a free account so you know who said what.
How much video fits in 100 GB?
About 24 hours at 1080p, or more than twice that at 720p. A typical 3-minute update is around 200 MB.
How is extra storage measured?
Once a day we add up the size of your videos. Each day above 100 GB is billed at a thirtieth of CHF 0.15 per extra GB, so deleting videos lowers your bill right away.
Can I keep a video private?
Yes. Switch a video to "Only me" and the link stops working for everyone else. You can also turn downloads off.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Settings › Billing. Uploads keep working until the end of the period you paid for. After that your videos stay online for another 30 days, so you can download them, and are then deleted. We email you before that happens.
